Shape your own international experience

Partner university abroad, professional internship, 100% English-taught programme, international double degree… At MBS, students are both the creators and the driving force behind their own international experience.

All students on the Grande Ecole Programme must complete a period of international academic mobility during their studies.

Before, during and after the mobility period, a dedicated team supports students in choosing their host university, preparing for mobility, registering for courses, and navigating every step of the experience.

Compulsory academic mobility

Students entering the programme in Year 1

Every student admitted to Year 1 must complete one semester of academic mobility, which is compulsory for the award of the Grande Ecole Programme degree, at one of the many prestigious partner universities of the Grande Ecole Programme.

When can this mobility take place?

This mobility may be completed:

  • Either during Year 1 (semester 2)
  • Or during Year 2 (semester 1, semester 2, or for the full academic year)
Mobility depending on status

Students entering the programme in Year 2

Academic mobility requirements differ depending on the status of students entering the programme directly in Year 2.

Work-study students

Students entering Year 2 on a work-study contract benefit from an exemption from compulsory academic mobility.

No semester of academic mobility is required for these students.

Non work-study students

Students entering Year 2 outside of a work-study contract must complete one compulsory semester of academic mobility in the second semester of Year 2.

International Double Degrees

In the final year of the Grande Ecole Programme, non work-study students have the opportunity to spend a full year at an international partner university and earn a double degree:

  • Master in Management “Grande Ecole” from MBS
  • Master’s, MSc or MBA from one of MBS’s prestigious foreign partner universities

The double-degree mobility in the final year does not extend the duration of studies or increase tuition fees.

Semester and Annual Exchanges

Adaptability, language and intercultural skills, open-mindedness, and the development of soft skills — these are the benefits of an international experience, and just as many assets to highlight on your CV.

Whether you enter the programme in Year 1 or Year 2, a study mobility is possible from your very first year — making it the ideal pathway to combine an international experience with a work-study contract.*

*Depending on the year of entry: 1st and 2nd years in full-time mode, then work-study in the following year(s).

Our Foreign Partner Universities

From 1 semester to 2 years of study abroad, each student can build an international experience tailored to their own aspirations and goals:

  • 1 semester in Year 1
  • 1 semester or 1 year in Year 2
  • 1 year on a Double Degree in the final year

For each destination, the number of students is limited to avoid clustering among French students, which is not conducive to genuine exchange and immersion in new cultures. Each destination welcomes a small number of students in order to avoid such clustering and to encourage real cultural mixing. The year abroad does not generate any additional tuition fees.

NB: Mobility is subject to health and safety conditions. The list and map of destinations are non-contractual.

Mobility Grants

Funding options available for your international study mobility:

  • Erasmus+ Grant
  • Région Occitanie Grant

How are assessments structured? What about exams?

To validate your year, you will be assessed in each subject through a combination of continuous assessment, group work and a written exam. Your future does not rest on a single grade

Is it possible to study a second foreign language (LV2) throughout the programme?

A second foreign language can be studied in PGE Year 1. Other options are available to strengthen your language skills throughout the rest of the programme, such as seminars, exchanges at partner universities, internships and interactions with international students on campus.

What destinations are available for an international exchange?

You will choose from more than 60 destinations on offer. The academic teams and students from previous cohorts are available to guide you in making this decision.

View the list of destinations

Yes, because university intakes and administrative procedures vary from one institution to another — and even more so from one country to another — which requires specific preparation. A dedicated team within the school will support you throughout all these steps and also provides personalised follow-up during your stay abroad.

Does the school offer support in finding a work-study contract?

Yes. For this purpose, you can contact the MBS Career Center. Career coaches will help you build your professional project (ambitions, professional positioning, interview preparation) and will regularly offer workshops and meetings with the school’s partner companies. The Career Centre also organises on-campus recruitment sessions to support you in your search.

What funding options are available?

MBS offers more than ten financial assistance schemes. For further information, please visit the Financing page of the Grande Ecole Programme.
