Funding your studies

Once admitted to the Bachelor of International Business Administration programme (BIBA), students have access to various funding solutions.

In partnership with FACE HÉRAULT – Fondation Agir Contre l’Exclusion, a personalised advisory service is also available to students seeking support with administrative procedures related to social, family and financial matters.

WORK-BASED AIDS

Work-study at MBS means:

  • More than 25 years of experience
  • More than 1600 students on work-study programmes
  • An unlimited number of places
  • A recognized ranking: 1st Business School in France for work-study (Le Parisien 2021) and 6th for professionalization (Financial Times 2021)

During a work-study year, the tuition fees are fully covered by the host company. The student also receives a salary.

As the leader in work-study programmes in France, MBS offers work-study programmes for all or part of the curriculum, depending on the admission procedure and the professionalization criteria. Students on work-study programmes can also apply for their own scholarship, the App’titude scholarship.

MBS allows its students to benefit from a temporary contract to work 10 hours per week in one of its departments. Work hours are adapted to students’ time schedule and academic imperatives.

These students, called “monitors”, receive a monthly salary during six to eight months. Selection is based on financial resources. Aspiring students must complete a motivation interview.

MBS various departments offer student jobs for about 9 months, 10 hours per week. Students benefit from a temporary contract. Selection is made on students’ professional skills and in response to departments’ specific needs.

LOANS

MBS students benefit from preferential rates and exemption periods adapted to their studies with certain partner banks: Banque Populaire du Sud, BNP Paribas, Caisse d’Epargne and Société Générale.

MBS grants 0% interest loans to students who have difficulty financing their studies and who have not been able to obtain a student bank loan because they do not have a guarantor.

The Honorary loan, the amount of which varies according to the student’s financial situation, is deducted from the tuition fees.

These loans are repayable from the time of graduation according to the following terms and conditions:

  • Repayment over a period not exceeding 24 months for loans up to 5000 euros.
  • Repayment over a period not exceeding 36 months for loans over 5000 euros.

These State-guaranteed student loans are available from participating banks for a maximum amount of €20,000 and are available to students of French nationality and under 28 years of age, with no personal or parental guarantee and no means test required. More details on the BPI loans here.

How does assessment work? What about exams?

To validate your year, you will be assessed in each subject through a combination of continuous assessment, group work and a mid-term exam. Rest assured: your future does not rest on a single grade.

Is it possible to study a second foreign language (LV2) throughout the programme?

A second foreign language can be studied in Year 1 and Year 2 (BIBA1 and BIBA2). From Year 3 onwards, other options are available to strengthen your language skills, such as seminars, exchanges at partner universities, internships and interactions with international students on campus.

What destinations are available for a period of study abroad?

You will be able to choose from more than 50 available destinations. The teaching teams and students from previous cohorts are on hand to help you make this decision.

Is support provided for administrative procedures?

Yes, because university start dates and procedures vary from one institution to another — and even more so from country to country — which requires specific preparation. A dedicated department within the school supports you throughout all these procedures and provides personalised follow-up during your stay abroad.

Does the school offer support in finding a work-study placement?

Yes. You can contact the MBS Career Centre, where career coaches will help you build your professional project (ambitions, positioning, interview preparation) and will regularly offer workshops and meetings with the school’s partner companies. The Career Centre also organises on-campus recruitment sessions to support your search.

What funding options are available?

MBS propose plus d’une dizaine de dispositifs d’aide au financement.
