The results of the ShanghaiRanking’s Global Ranking of Academic Subjects 2026 confirm MBS’s strong academic presence in France and internationally.
MBS achieves its best result in Finance, ranking 4th among French business schools and in the global Top 200. The school also ranks 9th among French business schools in Management and 13th in Business Administration.
With three subjects represented, MBS ranks 4th among French business schools with the strongest presence in social sciences, jointly with several leading French institutions, including Audencia, ESCP and ESSEC.These results reflect MBS’s ability to maintain strong academic visibility in a highly competitive international environment.
MBS’s presence across three subjects highlights the strength and momentum of its academic research.
The ShanghaiRanking’s Global Ranking of Academic Subjects is based on several research-related indicators, including scientific publications, research impact, international collaboration and academic recognition. MBS’s 2026 results demonstrate its ability to produce internationally recognised research across several areas of management science.
This recognition is the result of the collective work of MBS faculty and research teams, as well as the collaborations developed with the school’s academic partners in France and around the world.
As Mohamed Afennich, Dean of MBS School of Business, explains:
“These results demonstrate the strength of our academic model and our international appeal. They reinforce our determination to continue our efforts in research, educational innovation and excellence, for the benefit of our students and partners.”
These results come as MBS enters a new phase of its development and strengthens its ambition to contribute to major economic, societal, technological and environmental transformations.
Through its School-as-a-Laboratory model and its “Think. Test. Transform.” ambition, MBS aims to build stronger connections between knowledge, experimentation and impact.
Research plays a central role in this approach, with a clear objective: to generate new knowledge, test it against the realities faced by organisations and help develop solutions to today’s challenges.
MBS’s presence in the Shanghai Ranking 2026 therefore recognises the progress already made while encouraging the school to continue strengthening its academic research, scientific impact and international reach.
For André Deljarry, President of MBS:
“MBS’s continued presence across three subjects in the ShanghaiRanking’s Global Ranking of Academic Subjects sends a strong signal. This performance strengthens our position among French business schools with an international presence. It also confirms the relevance of the development strategy pursued by MBS.”
