She holds a PhD in Economics from the Athens University of Economics and Business, Greece. Her research focuses on empirical banking and financial services (bank-firm relationships, loans and banking institutions, financial intermediaries, corruption and the shadow economy) and public finance and income distribution. Her research has been published in journals such as Operations Research, Journal of Banking and Finance, European Journal of Operational Research, Journal of Business Ethics, and Ecological Economics. She teaches in the field of banking, money, and business economics.
