Innovation at the service of the learner
Pedagogical innovation at MBS is mainly expressed through gamification – i.e. the use of game mechanisms to solve problems (technical, operational, managerial, strategic).
Simulations, business games or serious games such as the Start-up Week or the ODD Challenge place MBS’ students in a different context to generate emotions, stimulate engagement and maximise motivation.

The flipped classroom drives and structures activities before / during the session, both inside and outside the classroom.
Learning by doing to enhance experiences – professional, personal, associative, multicultural. Students acquire analytical (case method, participation in competitions and business challenges), creative and collaborative methods (design thinking, hackathon).

A digital and face-to-face or “phygital” experience
MBS uses various digital tools that contribute to shifting boundaries inside and outside the classroom, mixing academic and professional experiences and generating more interactivity:
The classrooms are equipped with devices that allow co-modal learning, offering synchronous and interactive face-to-face and remote courses.
Moodle hosts all the asynchronous educational content made available to learners before and during the course sessions.
Collaborative and participative tools such as Wooclap, Klaxoon, Padlet or Flipgrid, develop interactivity and feedback in the classroom.
COIL – Collaborative Online International Learning – allows students from different countries and backgrounds to work together.
Testwe, for designing and administering online assessments, both in class or remotely.
Learners are also trained in applications and platforms for professional use (Bloomberg, Microsoft BI, Sphinx, etc.).
For instance, the Bloomberg room simulates a trading room equipped with Bloomberg terminals. Students experience the use of a professional tool used by financiers throughout the world and can prepare and take the BMC(Bloomberg Market Concepts), a certification recognised in the corporate finance and stock market sectors.

The pedagogical engineers of the MBS Learning Center ensure the relevance of the pedagogical tools to the needs of both students and teachers:

4DIGITAL
Montpellier Business School has been awarded the 4DIGITAL label. This label enables schools to “recognise and promote their mastery of digital technology, particularly for teaching and distance learning, both in France and internationally”.
