MEYER BERGE Antje

Antje Meyer-Berge is German and has lived in France for 36 years.

She studied agronomy in Stuttgart. She then did her DEA and her Phd thesis at INRA (now INRAE, theFrench National Research Institute for Agriculture, Food and the Environment) in Colmar, Alsace, where she carried out scientific research into the cultivation of medicinal plants, particularly Arnica.

She also studied journalism and communications for a year at the KLETT publishing house in Stuttgart (Germany).

She has lived in Montpellier since 1994 and initially worked for INRA and other research organisations in the field of events.

Since 1999, she has been teaching German at MBS (formerly Sup de Co) and since 2012, she has been solely responsible for this subject in the Bachelor and Master Program

She is a self-taught teacher, but has always enjoyed giving support classes, and from 2000 to 2010 she took part twice a year in the training days and workshops offered by the Maison de Heidelberg to teachers of German outside the national education system.

She has also trained future primary school teachers in German and pedagogy at Formathèmes (a privat school that prepares students for the competitive examination for primary school teachers) and has experience of teaching German in English to foreign students at Polytech Montpellier and IAE (Montpellier university management school)

For 8 years, she prepared BTS Tourism students for the LV2 (German) exam at the CCI (Montpellier Chamber of Commerce and Industry).

Since 2014, she has been teaching in a science preparatory class at Pierre Rouge (a private secondary school in Montferrier) and preparing German-speakers in the economic preparatory class at La Merci (a private secondary school in Montpellier) for the oral test in the competitive entrance exams for the Grandes Ecoles de Commerce.

Since 2024, she has also taught French as a foreign language classes at MBS.

During the summer, she regularly takes part in research projects at INRAE.
