The International Entrepreneurship (IE) course is research-based learning designed to provide students with a comprehensive empirical and conceptual knowledge and understanding of this field as well as their application in the context of entrepreneurial internationalization. The IE course focuses (i) on entrepreneurial internationalization of new ventures (international new ventures, INV) or existing small and medium sized firms, and (ii) on international comparisons of entrepreneurship. The course draws from the most relevant theories in the field of international business, entrepreneurship, internationalization and small business management. We deal with issues such as international opportunity identification, entry strategy, aspects of managing global entrepreneurial enterprises, entrepreneurship contexts across the world, differences of entrepreneurial activity across countries and regions, etc.
