Marc Robert is a Professor of Economics at Montpellier Business School (MBS), where he also undertakes research activities. He received his PhD in Economics in 2004 and specializes in managerial innovation, innovation networks, and coopetition, defined as cooperation between competitors. His research primarily examines the mechanisms that facilitate innovation within organizations and the ways in which firms collaborate to establish sustainable competitive advantages.
Professor Robert has authored numerous scientific articles published in leading international journals as well as in peer-reviewed, or French journals. Prominent publications include *Annals of Operations Research*, *Production Planning & Control*, *International Studies of Management and Organization*, *International Journal of Entrepreneurship and Small Business*, *Revue Française de Gestion*, *M\@n@gement*, and *Revue Internationale PME*.
In addition to journal articles, he has contributed chapters to edited volumes and has served as guest editor for special issues in both international and French journals, with a focus on innovation in management. He is the founder and current director of the Intermediation Services Performance Chair (PDSI), a research initiative dedicated to the sustainable performance of intermediation services—an area of critical importance in the contemporary economy.
In his pedagogical role, Professor Robert primarily teaches within the Grande École Program and the Bachelor's program at Montpellier Business School, where he imparts theoretical knowledge alongside practical case-based learning. His instructional approach is designed to equip students with the requisite skills and competencies to address complex challenges in professional environments.
Beyond his academic commitments, Professor Robert actively disseminates his research insights on contemporary management issues through accessible platforms such as *The Conversation*, aiming to bridge the gap between academic research and practical application for a diverse audience that includes professionals and policymakers.
Moreover, he provides tailored consultancy services to business leaders, focusing on the design and implementation of training programs that address evolving strategic and managerial challenges.
Throughout his career, Professor Robert has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to applied research, striving to reconcile methodological rigor with real-world impact. His scholarly contributions have significantly enhanced Montpellier Business School’s standing in the field of management research and its engagement with the business community.
